Know About the Horticultural Sector Crisis in Australia

  The government's approach to the horticultural sector problem has been dubbed "an insult" by one Independent TD. The government has released a working paper to address the issues surrounding peat availability for Ireland's professional horticulture sector. The government working paper is full of ideas and aspirations, but no solutions, forcing Ireland to import peat at a significant cost to the sector and the environment. Due to this pandemic farming sector and horticultural sector, both are suffering. Claims of horticulture labour shortage have been around for a long time, but they reached a peak level during the pandemic (Covid 19). Data on how many people are actually selecting our fruits, veggies, and nuts have been lacking in the past. However, the Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics and Sciences (ABARES) has been surveying horticulture (fruit, vegetable, and nut) growers every year for the past two years. The findings were recently publis
